Invitation!

Burma Freedom marchers originating from Portland, Oregon; two Buddhist monks; and four activists are arriving to our area on Sunday September 14 evening in commemoration of 20 th anniversary of the 1988 September 18 bloody massacre and the first anniversary of Saffron Revolution.
Please join these freedom marchers on,
Demonstration rallies on September 16 and 17 afternoon at 3:00 PM at illegal SPDC Embassy in 2300 S Street Washington DC, then march to Embassy of China (it's a few blocks away).

Rally in front of the White House on September 18 afternoon at 3:00 PM.

Donation drive at AU for Burmese refugees

Hey everyone!! We will be collecting the following items on Thursday, February 21st from 9:30am to Noon, and from 5pm to 6:30pm in MGC:

1. Kitchen Items
Place setting of tableware (fork, knife, spoon)
Place setting of dishes (plate, bowl, cup)
Pots/Pans, including sauce pan, frying pan, and one baking dish
Mixing/Serving bowls
Kitchen utensils
Can opener
Baby items as needed (i.e. bottles, baby silverware, etc.)

2. Linens and Other Household Items
Towels
Sheets and blankets
Pillow and pillowcases
Alarm clock
Paper, pens, and/or pencils
Light bulbs

3. Cleaning Supplies
Dish soap
Bathroom/kitchen cleaner
Sponges or cleaning rags and/or paper towels
Laundry detergent
Waste baskets
Mop or Broom
Trash bags

4. Toiletries
Toilet paper
Shampoo
Soap
Toothbrushes
Toothpaste
Personal hygiene items as appropriate

5. Winter Clothing
Gloves/Mittens
Scarves
Hats
Coats
Umbrellas
